My journey
My story began in 2018 when I first experienced coaching as a client. Despite good intentions, that initial relationship didn’t quite click. I made some progress, but was left wondering if there was more to coaching than I was getting.
Everything changed in 2020 when I had the opportunity to work with a different coach whose work I deeply admired. For the past five years, I've been coached by Maisie Hill, and the experience has transformed my life in ways I never imagined possible.
Through our work together, I have navigated career promotions, changed roles and companies, and gained clarity on personal decisions that previously had felt overwhelming. Most significantly, coaching opened space for me to explore beyond my career. Despite fears about time and energy constraints, I discovered I could pursue multiple passions simultaneously. This realisation led me to apply for an MA in Creative Writing with one of my literary heroes and later pursued a PhD—two paths I never imagined would be part of my journey.
This transformation was so profound that I felt called to offer the same opportunity to others. After completing a taster course with Tara Mohr that resonated deeply with me, I pursued a professional coaching certification to help others experience the power of coaching.
Now, I create dedicated spaces for you to reimagine and shape your future—spaces focused on flourishing, where you can see beyond what you think is possible and give yourself permission to go for it.
Meet Mariana
Drawing on 17 years of experience in demanding professional environments, I've built a career that spans engineering foundations, strategic problem solving, and leadership positions at both Google and innovative startups. My unique blend of technical expertise and creative research practice allows me to translate complex challenges into clear paths forward, delivering transformative outcomes across diverse industries and organisational cultures.
Beyond my corporate experience, I hold an MA in Creative Writing and am a PhD candidate researching the crisis of care through the lenses of decolonial feminism and social reproduction theory in Latin America. My research examines how modern lifestyles, endless demands, and inadequate care systems damage our physical and emotional wellbeing. I also explore elements of successful care infrastructures, the power of community in driving meaningful change, and the systemic forces that prevent us from caring and connecting. I also investigate how fiction can inspire both personal and societal transformation, offering alternative visions of living that honour our bodies, relationships, and the planet that we live in.
As a coach, I create dedicated coaching spaces for individuals and teams to reflect, imagine, and challenge their perceived limits. Whether you’re navigating career transitions, seeking clarity, or looking to cultivate a more sustainable and fulfilling professional life, I bring a thoughtful, research-informed, and creative approach. Recognising the unique power of creativity, I also help professionals integrate creative practices into their lives, whether to enhance problem-solving, spark innovation, or bring a greater sense of meaning and expression into their work and lives.
